
Tonya Rice
HS Math, Humanities; Class Advisor
Tonya joined KWS in 2014, after over 20 years of teaching experience in high school math in public schools in New York and Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Stevens University and a Masters Degree in Math Education from Columbia University Teachers College, and studied Waldorf education at Antioch University in New Hampshire. Each day, she brings to life in the classroom the belief that every child can do math and strives to help them find the beauty in their studies. Her Math and Social Justice course was responsible for the inception of the KWS food pantry.
