Our 9th graders spent all of last week at Camphill Village for their Agricultural Practicum helping harvest from their abundant fields, herb garden, and orchard.
For one special week they got to immerse themselves in the amazing community at @camphillkimberton all while learning about agriculture, working and sharing meals with villagers, assisting in the daily maintenance of a farm, and learning the joys of the cow barn.
Evenings were spent camping at our Garden Building, basking in the beauty of the 9th grade class, sharing stories over campfires.
Kimberton Waldorf students are introduced to a variety of complex issues around food and nourishment through the Agriculture Practicum, our gardening program and through exploring topics around food justice and food insecurity. We are so lucky our campus neighbors multiple farms and leaders in the local ag movement!
