2025 Grandparents and Special Friends Day Itinerary

Dear Grandparents and Special Friends,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our campus on Friday, November 21st at 8am.

Here is the planned itinerary for the morning for Grades 1-8 Grandparents:

8:00 – Registration in the Gym with local baked goods and coffee.

8:30 – You will be escorted from the Gym to your Grandchild’s classroom.

9:30 – Reception in the Gym as students prepare for assembly. Our Seven Stars Store will also be open at that time. Enjoy freshly baked treats, beverages, and browse student artwork.

10:15 – Assembly for entire school and all guests.

11:30 – Grandparents and Special Friends Day concludes. At this point, the children will go outside for recess and you will be able to say your goodbyes before their lunch begins at 12pm noon. Thank you for joining us!

Please note: If you have multiple Grandchildren, you are encouraged to start with visiting the youngest Grandchild first. We will have staff members in each building that can help you find a classroom so you can make sure to visit with each of your KWS students during the window of 8:30-9:30.

Here is the planned itinerary for the morning for Grades 9-12 Grandparents:

9:30 – Reception in the Gym as students prepare for assembly. Our Seven Stars Store will also be open at that time. Enjoy freshly baked treats, beverages, and browse student artwork.

10:15 – Assembly for entire school and all guests.

11:30 – Grandparents and Special Friends Day concludes. At this point, the children will go outside for recess and you will be able to say your goodbyes before their lunch begins at 12pm noon. Thank you for joining us!

Please note a few helpful details and view our Campus Map:

Parking: The high school lot and student parking are available for guests, as well as the lot closest to the Kindergarten and Middle School (entrance by covered bridge). Handicapped parking is available in the lower school circle. Please email me if you’d like to reserve a spot in our handicapped parking, which is closest to the reception area/gym.

Arrival and Greeting: If you arrive after 8:30am, you are welcome to proceed directly to the classroom to spend time with your student(s). Staff will be present around campus to direct you. For guests arriving before 8:00 am, we will be available to greet you at our reception area in front of the gym.

There will be a brief opportunity to say “goodbye” at the conclusion of the assembly as students are dismissed to lunch. We thank you for joining us at KWS for this joyous event and for the special part you play in our students’ lives!

Sincerely,

Kelli Paul, Director of Development (kpaul@kimberton.org)
Katie Zuber, Director of Enrollment and Marketing (kzuber@kimberton.org)
