Volunteering time to support the students and staff of Kimberton Waldorf School is a wonderful way to connect with other parents and the larger community!
Opportunities abound and are broad-ranged, running the gamut from welcoming new parents, to preparing or serving lunch in our organic school lunch program, to helping increase community awareness about Kimberton Waldorf School. Current opportunities are as follows (space is available on any committee):
Development Committee - This committee assists with the annual fund effort and fundraising events. Activities include sending letters and emails, making phone calls to other parents requesting their support, and brainstorming about new ideas.
Craft Show Committee - This committee plans and executes the annual craft show, which raises money for the J. Terry Neville Scholarship Fund. The Craft Show features handmade crafts by juried craftspeople, a Tea Room, and children's activities.
Festivals Committee - This committee oversees the coordination of the school program surrounding seasonal festivals.
Green Committee - This committee advises facilities on sustainability issues, promotes environmental practices and projects within the school, and holds educational/outreach events with environmental themes.
Outreach Committee - This committee helps move forward the school's marketing efforts by brainstorming about new ideas, attending outreach events, posting reviews on websites, etc.
Seven Stars Shop Committee - This committee is tasked with the operations of Kimberton Waldorf School's school store, the Seven Stars Shop.
Trail Run Committee - This committee organizes, plans, fundraises, and manages the annual fall trail run and wellness fair. These volunteers also tend and maintain the French Creek Conservation Trail at Kimberton Waldorf School.
