Corporations & Businesses Support KWS Through the PA EITC Program

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (PA EITC) provides opportunities and benefits for students of lower income families, corporations/businesses and registered scholarship organizations.

Your business can apply to the state for tax credits using a simple one-page application.  Once the state approves your application, in essence you redirect your tax credit payment to KWS.  You can receive 75% to 90% tax credit on taxes that you already plan to pay the state.  As a registered Scholarship Organization KWS uses these funds for students of lower income families who otherwise would not have the opportunity of school choice.

A corporate tax credit is available through the PA EITC Program to incorporated businesses (C-Corp, S-Corp, Multi or Single Member LLC) that do business in the State of Pennsylvania and pay one or more of the following taxes:

  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Capital Stock Franchise Tax
  • Bank & Trust Company Shares
  • Title Insurance Company Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premiums Tax

Further details about the program are available by going on line to the Pennsylvania State website www.newPA.com and searching “PA EITC Program”. In addition, the REACH Foundation offers excellent educational materials for this program, www.paschoolchoice.org.

Follow the “step-by-step” directions and see how easy it is to participate in this program.

* Step-by-Step directions to name KWS as a K-12 Scholarship fund recipient.

* Step-by-Step directions to name KWS as a Pre-K scholarship fund recipient.

Contact KWS or go to the state’s web site for the most current application (www.newPA.com.)

Prior to submitting any application we do advise reviewing the completed application with your accountant. Remember that tax credits apply to the tax year in which you write the check to a scholarship organization.
