The students at Kimberton Waldorf School range in age from 3 to 19. Currently we have 30 children in the Parent/Child group and Morning Garden Nursery; 24 in the Kindergartens, 184 in Lower School and 82 in the High School.
“The students surprised me at first because there’s none of the jaded attitude toward learning I had previously encountered. Both students and teachers are unusually enthusiastic about the subject being taught.”

“Being personally acquainted with a number of Waldorf students, I can say that they come closer to realizing their own potential than practically anyone I know.”

“If you’ve had the experience of binding a book, knitting a sock, playing a recorder, then you feel that you can build a rocket ship – or learn a software program you’ve never touched. It’s not bravado, just a quiet confidence. There is nothing you can’t do. Why couldn’t you?”
Peter Nitze
AlliedSignal Global Operations Director
Rudolf Steiner School Alumn
“I can clearly remember just about every day I spent inside, and outside, the colorful walls; and I can definitely say that the time I spent at Kimberton Waldorf School molded me into the person I am today. Before Kimberton I excelled only in Math and Science, and had little interest in many things artistic. I came to Kimberton in 7th grade, and spent much of my first year or so up a tree. Once I came down however, I found a profound desire to express myself in ways that math and science never could. I began do draw and act, perform on stage, and learn to be a well rounded human being. Before Kimberton, there was no way that I would have gotten up in front of an audience and spoken without fear or apprehension. I felt that Kimberton offered me opportunities to grow in these important years of development. I began to regard Kimberton as more of a community than as a school. I knew that when I got to college, I wanted to study in physics or engineering and am majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I can also thank Kimberton for my love of music and art. I played piano for many years before Kimberton, and arriving at Kimberton I discovered I can sing. I have a real interest in music, art and communication. Now I am the Manager and Musical Director of the all male a-capella group, Assistant Musical Director for the co-ed a-capella group and bass section leader of the University Choir. Now I am doing a double major, adding Music Composition and Conducting. I run the Improvisational Drama group on campus, I’ve been in a play, and had a radio show for a freshmen and sophomore years.
None of this would have been possible without the frequent encouragement of the faculty and staff at KWS to go after what I want.”
