Lifesharing host person or host family needed for single mother age 33 with autism and cognitive delays and her newborn baby girl.

Lifesharing began in PA in 1982. Lifesharing is recognized as being both a personal relationship and a place to live. It offers an individual with a disability the opportunity to live with a person or family who will help support their needs for an everyday life. An individual lives in a host lifesharing home and is encouraged to become a contributing member of the host lifesharing unit and the local community. The host lifesharing arrangement is chosen by the individual, his or her family and team, and with the lifesharing host and Family Living Provider Agency in accordance with the individual’s needs. The Family Living Provider Agency in this situation that administers this service and fees to the host person/family is Circle of Support.

If this model of support interests you, please call Beth at 484-437-3363 or send your letter of interest by January 31, 2017 to Circle of Support, 103 Develin Drive, Phoenixville, PA 19460

Two lovely parakeet budgies are ready for a new home together. One white/yellow male, one blue female. Female lays eggs throughout year, but you will never be burdened with babies, as they do not have nesting instincts. Bought 2½ years ago for my daughter's 11th birthday, but the novelty wore off quickly. Need finger training if you want to hold them, otherwise they do nip. Birds come with cage, food and litter. Altair EcoVillage is planning 35 privately-owned townhouses and flats clustered around a central green walkway in nearby Kimberton. We welcome boarding students, diversity, and the richness of intergenerational living. The ecovillage will feature low-impact energy use, with minimal utility bills. Residents will enjoy a vibrant community life centered around exchanging mutual support, working together to maintain the buildings and grounds, sharing optional meals, and socializing. We make decisions by consensus. The hub of the community will be our club house, which includes a large dining room and kitchen, playrooms, reading areas, exercise room, laundry, workshop, and guest rooms. The 9½ acres will include a garden, orchard, woods, and walking trail.

Please see our website at www.altairecovillage.org for information on ecovillages in general, Altair in particular, and our progress.  Site tours, including discussion groups and potlucks, are held the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 4:30 to 7 pm.  For more information, email .
