Tree Tenders

Become a Tree Tender® at Kimberton Waldorf School!
Help plant and care for trees in your region, your community, or your yard. Become a Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Tree Tender!

The PHS Tree Tenders® program offers hands-on tree care training for residents of the five-county Philadelphia region. The 9-hour training covers tree biology, identification, planting, proper care and pruning, and working within your community. Available for ISA, PA LA, and PLNA credit. This course is not appropriate for children under 16. This training will occur in the Garden Building over three consecutive Thursday evenings: April 10, 17, and 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Fee: $25

Coffeehouse

The tenth grade is hosting a Coffeehouse beginning at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 7 as a fund raising event for Nora Neely.  Nora is one of our 10th grade students. She was injured in a ski accident over our Spring Break and is hospitalized in Burlington, Vermont with, among other things, a traumatic brain injury. Although she is making steady progress, her recovery may be slow. Her classmates want to honor her passion for music with a Coffeehouse that also will raise money to help with expenses incurred by her family. There will be music, poetry and refreshments for purchase. The Coffeehouse is being held in the High School Library. Please bring a small candle to light for Nora that evening. Thank you in advance for your support.
