Calling all alumni! We invite you back to see your friends, tour the campus, and remember all that is and was good about KWS!
This year there is a special focus on the following class years:
We will include a 12-mile bicycle ride (for cyclists of all levels) through rolling hills and the beautiful Kimberton area. The bike tour will be led by Alan Wright, sculpture and woodwork teacher, who rides his bike to school in good weather and bad! The tour will begin at 10am and end at noon. Alan asks that only those ages 16+ participate. We will have childcare available for those with younger children. Bikes can be rented through www.RentaBikeNow. The average cost is $50/day. We now have 12 bikes on loan free of charge from Phoenix Cycles for the Alumni reunion. These are 3-speed beach cruiser type bikes (just fine for this ride) that come with a helmet, front basket and will be at school ready to ride. These are available for the first 12 people to sign up for the ride and Alan says he will be riding his English style 3-speed, too. If you can loan a bike or want to borrow one of the dozen that are now available free of charge, please email right away.
The reunion will include a fresh, delicious BBQ provided by Yellow Springs Catering - experts in creating a wonderful party - in a lovely setting where you can enjoy the music of Mersey Beats and the company of old (and new) friends. If the weather cooperates, the event will take place in the Memorial Garden on the side of the art studios. If it is raining, we'll be in the gym.Mersey Beats plays Beatles music!
As always, there will be prizes for those who travel the furthest, funniest memory, and more! If you are planning on attending, please register today and then we will post your name on the website so that others can see that you are attending, too. Please include your class year. We'll also have some old yearbooks we are giving away (first-come, first-serve).
