Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Kimberton Waldorf School. We have a rolling admissions policy and accept students throughout the year when space is available. We are currently accepting applications for the 2014-15 school year. If a class is full, we continue to accept students onto a waiting list. Follow the steps below to learn more about us and to become part of the Kimberton Waldorf School family!

Step One: Submit an Inquiry

The first step of the admissions process is to provide us with some basic details about your family. Please complete the online inquiry form here. You will receive an information packet in the mail.

Step Two: Visit the School

Choosing a school is one of the most significant decisions you will make for your child and your family. To fully appreciate all that we have to offer to our students, we request that parents/guardians visit the school as an early part of the application process.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of admission events, and we invite you and your family to attend as many of these as you would like during your journey. You are welcome to schedule an admissions tour by contacting, or 610.933.3635 ext. 128.

Schedule your visit today and experience the excitement of Waldorf Education!

Step Three: Submit Application Materials

Complete and submit the application materials for the appropriate grade level. Application forms can be downloaded by clicking on the applicable grade below. A $50 non-refundable application fee is required for preschool and kindergarten applications; a $75 non-refundable application fee is required for grades 1 through 12.

If you prefer to receive application materials via mail, please contact the Admissions Office at  or 610.933.3635 ext. 108.

Step Four: Student Visit

When the Admissions Office has received the application and support documentation, the parents/guardians will be contacted to arrange for the student to visit the school. Whenever possible, the student should visit while school is in session.

The focus of this time is to ensure that the “fit” between your child and our school will be an enriching and fruitful one. For grades kindergarten through 12, a three-day visit is required, in order to allow thorough impressions to be formed both by the student and by the teachers. Student visitors should arrive at the school no later than 7:50 am. (In the high school, testing for placement will be done during the visit.)

Step Five: Admissions Decision/Enrollment

The Admissions Office will contact you shortly after the student visit to let you know whether your child has been accepted. We will send out an acceptance packet with an enrollment contract. Enrollment is finalized once we have received the completed enrollment forms and the enrollment deposit.

Financial Aid: Tuition assistance is determined after the child has been accepted for enrollment, and all other forms and records are complete. If you are interested in applying for need-based financial aid, please click here for more information.

Policy on Non-Discrimination

Kimberton Waldorf School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, ethnic background, or national origin in admission of students, in financial aid grants, or in any program offered.
