Kimberton Waldorf School uses a collaborative governance structure made up of a Board of Trustees, Dean of School, Director of Business Operations, Governing Team, and Core Teams for the Upper School and Lower School. The Dean of School is mandated by the Board, faculty, and staff of Kimberton Waldorf School to carry the management and visionary leadership of the school, and is supported in that work by the Governing Team and the Core Teams. The Governing Team supports the Dean in the work of the management and leadership of the school as a whole. The Core Teams are responsible for the management of their sections of the school.

Mandate: The Governing Team is mandated by the Board, faculty and staff of Kimberton Waldorf School to carry together the management and visionary leadership of the entire school in both a spiritual and practical sense. Composed of individuals who bring insight into the pedagogical life of a Waldorf school and proven skills in business management and organizational development, the Governing Team is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and finalizing decisions in all matters concerning the day-to-day administrative and pedagogical life of the school. In addition, the Governing Team takes a proactive approach on all matters concerning the short-term, mid-term, and long-term development of the school.

Lower School Core Team: Esther Walsh (LSCT Leader & GT Liaison), John Holmes
The Upper School section comprises grades nine through twelve. The Lower School section includes Early Childhood and grades one through eight.
Mandate: The Core Teams carry the management and visionary leadership of the Upper School and Lower School, proactively guiding work in the section meetings to strengthen the creative meeting of the needs of today’s preschool children, grade school children, and adolescents in a healthy Waldorf learning environment. Other mandated responsibilities include staffing, teacher evaluation, mentoring and teacher development, and coordinating and finalizing decisions in matters concerning the day-to-day administrative and pedagogical life of the sections of the school. The teams receive delegated tasks from the Governing Team and keep the Governing Team informed.
